Castle Concept








Combing these will give the finished projects — I thought we could make whatever we wanted until I checked the assignment (oops), so I made a castle model after. I decided, why not combine the textures, greenery and roof I made up in the first model with the castle design below?

Coaster Concept Sketching

I want to choose something doable, but also detailed and interesting. Some of these quick concepts lean into the more sculptural aspect of this assignment.  - One of these I could consider would be the sun and moon coaster (5) . Flipping it over will change the time of day on the surface—and it is flat, so it functions as a traditional coaster but with a story and more aesthetics. I might add more detail to it to make it complex. - If I wanted to go with something a little more difficult, I could choose the aquarium coaster concept (11) , inspired by people using resin as water on an artistic replication of a seabed floor. It will not be tall in length, so it still can function as a normal coaster. Usually people put liquids in a cup, making a coaster based off another liquid would be cool. - The last concept I might use would be the gazebo (12) , which is more of a sculpture. Final Castle Project

This is really late... I got sick sorry. The castle is inspired by medieval architecture. I wanted to make it seem worn with overgrowth, and incorporated elements I used for my cottage onto this miniature castle, specifically the stone bricks and the trees. Close up of materials I really wanted to use more 3D objects for the ground such as more trees, rocks, shrubs and a river etc., but I wanted to hand this in as soon as possible, and it was getting really laggy. (I also wanted to add more 3D bricks to the roof tower part of the castle)   Shade form The three materials I used were stone, glass and moss. I thought about incorporating wood but decided not to to create a more sturdy-like structure. (I only did for the bark) For lighting, I opted for a "dark orange" - too light would mean too bright. Combining complementary colours like orange and blue enhanced the lighting even further (I purposefully put less blue as too much would overpower the orange) My challenge was trying...
